BNI Western PA: Events Coordinator
The Events Coordinator role is an exciting new leadership position being introduced by BNI Western PA for chapters wanting to elevate engagement by celebrating their successes. This role focuses on planning and executing events that recognize chapter achievements and strengthen relationships between the members.
By organizing celebrations such as chapter milestones, holiday gatherings, or member appreciation gatherings, the Events Coordinator helps to create energy and momentum within the chapter. This not only boosts member morale and retention, but also enhances the chapter's visibility and attractiveness to prospective members.
The minimum expectations for a BNI Western PA Events Coordinator are:
- Ensuring social events do not replace the BNI Weekly Meeting.
- Working with the Secretary / Treasurer to maintain the chapter budget with regard to chapter funds being spent on social events.
- Scheduling events that appeal to most members. For example, not all members are sports fans and a chapter event at a baseball or football game may not appeal to everyone.
- Working with the Growth Coordinator with regard to visitors attending chapter social events. Social events are meant to celebrate chapter successes. In most cases, these events are not to be used to recruit new members.
- Reviewing any social media posts to ensure content meets BNI Western PA standards.
