BNI Western PA:  Growth Coordinator

The Growth Coordinator role is a newly created position with the BNI Western PA Leadership Team structure.  This role is designed to support and accelerate chapter growth in a focused and strategic way.  Unlike the Community Builder within the Membership Committee, the Growth Coordinator is dedicated to being familiar with and promoting a full range of growth mechanisms and opportunities available to chapters and members.  These mechanisms range from visitor generation strategies, regional incentives, and chapter growth campaigns.

This role works closely with the chapter leadership to plan and support a wide range of mechanism-plus-events that attract quality visitors and drive membership expansion.  This will ensure that growth is intentional, consistent, and aligned with BNI's proven systems.

The events planned by the Growth Coordinator are not social events that promote chapter unity.  Those types of events will be organized and managed by another newly created role within the Leadership Team called the Events Coordinator.

Good (Minimum Requirements)

The minimum requirements for serving as a BNI Western PA Chapter Growth Coordinator are:

  • Being familiar with different growth mechanisms and strategies as developed by BNI Western PA
  • Being familiar with BNI Western PA social media sites and communicating regularly with the Chapter Social Media Coordinator
  • Developing a 12-month Growth / Events calendar for the chapter
  • Communicating regularly with the Membership Committee - Community Builder to identify Top 10 wanted classifications for the chapter
  • Attending the Monthly Regional Networking and Support Zoom Call

To achieve the Better Level of BNI Western PA Chapter Growth Coordinator:

  • Communicating with the Senior Director Consultant and regional office to develop a list of alumni, past visitors, or visitors to other chapters that may be candidates for the chapter
  • Confirming that the region has received the chapter's 12-month Growth calendar and determining deadlines for each of the events (as well as communicating expected support needed from the region)
  • Developing a system to confirm the receipt of potential visitors from the regional website

To achieve the Best Level of BNI Western PA Chapter Growth Coordinator:

  • Scheduling regular Zoom or phone calls with the regional team to review upcoming growth events
  • Attending Chapter Success Meetings as needed
