BNI Western PA:  Mentor Coodinator

Serving as the Mentor Coordinator for your chapter is a powerful way to elevate your visibility while making a meaningful impact on a new member's success.  In this role, you are consistently connecting with new members, guiding them through the onboarding process, and helping them understand how to effectively leverage the BNI system.

This frequent interaction naturally positions you as a knowledgable leader and trusted resource within the chapter.  At the same time, your support ensures that new member feels welcomed, confident, and equipped to contribute, which increases retention, engagement, and overall chapter performance.
By helping others succeed early, you not only strengthen the chapter, but also build deeper relationships that can lead to increased referrals and long-term business growth.

The responsibilities of the Mentor Coordinator are listed below in three different categories: Good, Better, and Best.

The responsibilities listed as Good are considered to be the minimum requirements for fulfilling the role of Mentor Coordinator.  For those Mentor Coordinators wanting to help grow their leadership skills and network with other Mentor Coordinators, those responsibilities are highlighted in the Better section.  Finally, for those Mentors Coordinators wanting to strive for their chapter's greatest potential, those opportunities are listed in the Best section.

 

Good (Minimum Requirements)

The minumum requirements for serving as a BNI Western PA Mentor Coordinator are:

  • Communicating with Chapter Officers regarding induction of new members into your chapter
  • Conducting new member orientation with your Chapter President after the meeting the member is inducted in
  • Confirming each new member has received their Passport and which members are willing to schedule Passport one-to-ones with the new member
  • Helping each new member schedule their Member Success Program Training
  • Ensuring that new members have downloaded the BNI App and are familiar with www.mybni.com
  • Ensure new members have completed their profile on BNI Connect

Better

To achieve the Better Level of BNI Western PA Mentor Coordinator:

  • Coordinating with Mentors regarding scheduling one-to-ones with new members and topics to be reviewed
  • Ensuring each new member has scheduled their Quick Start training
  • Documenting new member's completion of the Regional Member Success Program with Senior Director Consultant and Secretary / Treasurer
  • Assisting new member with obtaining their first visitor

Best

To achieve the Best Level of BNI Western PA Mentor Coordinator:

  • Helping new members achieve Diamond status in the first 90 days of membership
  • Attending Chapter Success Meetings as needed
